Pema Khandu Sworn In As Arunachal Pradesh CM For Third Consecutive Term
Dude, Pema Khandu just got sworn in as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for the third time in a row! The ceremony took place at the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre, and it was like a big reunion of BJP heavyweights. Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Sikkim's Prem Singh Tamang were all there to show their support.
Khandu, who hails from the BJP and reps the Mukto constituency, took the oath with the governor, KT Parnaik, looking on. In his speech, he thanked everyone for their trust and promised to keep working on development and stability in the state.
Alongside Khandu, eleven other MLAs got sworn in as ministers. Some of the big names in the group include Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, former Assembly Speaker PD Sona, BJP State President Biyuram Wahge, and Dasanglu Pul, who took over for her late husband, Kalikho Pul. She's the only woman in the new cabinet, and there are eight new faces in the mix too.
The portfolios are gonna be announced later, and the first cabinet meeting is also on the schedule. It's gonna be interesting to see how these new folks work together.
The BJP totally dominated the recent elections in Arunachal Pradesh, winning 46 out of 60 seats in the assembly. That's a solid show of support for Khandu and his team.
With another term in the books, all eyes are on Pema Khandu to see if he can live up to the expectations of his constituents and keep the BJP's winning streak going in the northeast. Good luck, dude!
