Chandrababu Naidu to Take the Oath as Andhra Pradesh's New Chief Minister Tomorrow

Amaravati, June 11, 2024  - In some big political news, Chandrababu Naidu, the head honcho of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), is all set to take the oath of office as the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh tomorrow, June 12. This follows his unanimous election as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Legislative Assembly during a meeting today.

Naidu, accompanied by Daggubati Purandeswari, the BJP state president, and Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Jana Sena Party, met with the Governor to formally request permission to form the government. "We just went to the Governor and submitted a request letter to him, asking him to invite Chandrababu Naidu to form the government immediately," Naidu explained. Addressing a gathering of TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena legislators, Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh. "In our government, there won't be any games under the guise of three capitals," he declared. "Our capital is, and always will be, Amaravati. There's no doubt about it." This statement shows that Naidu hasn't lost sight of his long-held vision for Amaravati, which he championed during his previous stint as Chief Minister from 2014 to 2019.

Kalyan emphasized that Andhra Pradesh needed Naidu's experience and vision. "Andhra Pradesh needs Naidu's experience and vision," he pointed out, highlighting the importance of Naidu's leadership for the state's future.

Expressing his gratitude towards the people of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said, "With all your support, I'm swearing in tomorrow (as the CM) and I just want to thank you all for that." He also announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony, which will only add to the significance of the event.

Naidu's return as Chief Minister signifies a new chapter for Andhra Pradesh, as he brings his extensive political experience and vision for the state's development. The swearing-in ceremony, with the expected presence of PM Modi, promises to be a major event, reflecting the NDA's united front and renewed commitment to the state's progress.
