Multiple sources, led by French transfer expert Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, confirm that Arsenal and Bukayo Saka have reached a full agreement in principle on a contract extension that will keep the England international at the club until the summer of 2030.
The 24-year-old winger, whose current deal was due to expire in 2027, is set to become one of Arsenal’s highest earners with a new package reportedly worth over £300,000 per week – putting him in the same bracket as Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.
Why This Deal Matters
Despite a hamstring injury slowing his start to the 2025-26 season (3 goals, 0 assists in 9 Premier League appearances), Saka remains the creative heartbeat of Mikel Arteta’s side. His 15 open-play chances created this term trail only Mohamed Salah, and his set-piece delivery continues to terrorize defenses.
Over the last four Premier League seasons, Saka has delivered 100+ goal contributions – a remarkable return for a player who graduated from Hale End and is still in his prime.
A Core Built to Last
With William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, and now Saka all recently tied down to long-term deals, Arteta is constructing a spine that can dominate English football for years. Add the emergence of teenage sensations Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Max Dowman, and Arsenal’s dynasty blueprint is taking shape.
The timing is perfect: Arsenal currently sit four points clear at the top of the Premier League and remain unbeaten in the Champions League heading into a mouthwatering North London Derby against Tottenham this weekend.
Saka’s Own Words
Earlier this year the England star declared: “I want to win trophies wearing this badge.” With this new contract, both player and club are fully aligned on turning near-misses into silverware.
Announcement expected before Christmas. The message from North London is clear – the dynasty isn’t coming. It’s already here.
