Nine Dogs Found Dead in Pahadsinghpura: Poisoned Biscuits Suspected

Pahadsinghpura, India - On Friday, eight stray dogs and a pet dog, including four puppies, were found dead due to suspected consumption of poisoned biscuits. The alarming incident has ignited the ire among animal rights activists, who are now running a social media campaign to trace the culprit.

Pet Owner's Heart-wrenching Account

Usha Ghate, a 52-year-old pet owner said her six-year-old Labrador suddenly fell sick after he was let loose for sometime near the ground around 6:45 am on January 31. According to Ghate, her dog would often go to the ground nearby to answer nature's call and would return home much before 7 am.

However, that morning, her pet returned visibly distressed, vomiting and suffering from diarrhea. The symptoms raised suspicion that the dog might have ingested something toxic. The belief was further enforced when the deaths of eight stray dogs in the same vicinity were reported soon after.

Animal Rights Activists Demand Justice

The mass poisoning has triggered strong reactions from animal welfare groups that are tracking every lead to identify the perpetrator. The activists have taken to social media platforms to demand justice and urge authorities to take stringent action against those responsible for harming innocent animals.

Police Investigation Underway
