International Students Totally Dig New Zealand: 2024 Survey Shows 86% Thumbs Up. New Zealand latest news
It looks like New Zealand is the cool kid on the global education block, with almost 9 out of 10 international students giving it a big thumbs up in the 2024 International Student Experience Survey. This is like, a 2% jump from last year, which is pretty rad!
Linda Sissons, who's kind of the boss for now at Education New Zealand (ENZ), talked about the survey at this big shindig called the NZIEC KI TUA conference. She was super stoked that a record number of students, 41%, said their time in New Zealand was 'excellent' - that's the highest ever! Almost 5,000 students took part in the survey.
Linda's totally happy about the results, saying, "It's pretty amazing that so many students think their time here is top-notch." She reckons this is because New Zealand's been killing it in bouncing back from some tough times in the international education scene and still giving these students everything they hoped for.
What's making these students so chuffed? Well, the survey showed that they absolutely love the people they meet here - a massive 90% said their interactions were top-notch. And that's not all, they're also digging the vibe outside the classroom, which is super important when you're living in a new place.
So, in a nutshell, the 2024 survey is like a big thumbs up for New Zealand's rep as an amazing place to study. It shows that the country's really putting in the effort to make sure these international students have the best time ever, and it's totally paying off!
