Far-Right Protests Pop Off All Over the UK After Horrific Stabbing
Things have gotten pretty hectic across various parts of the UK after some really sad news came out of a dance class in Southport on July 29. Someone went on a stabbing rampage, and it's left three young girls dead with others hurt. This terrible event has sparked a ton of far-right protests everywhere.
Now, the mess all started because some fake news spread on the internet that the guy who did the stabbing was a Muslim immigrant. But, get this, the actual 17-year-old who did it is from Wales with Rwandan parents. He's been caught, but the wrong info got people's blood boiling.
The chaos has been so bad, it's like we're back to the big riots in England in 2011 when a mixed-race guy was killed by the cops in London. These days, we've got far-right folks causing trouble all over, especially at places where asylum seekers are staying.
In Rotherham, South Yorkshire, some anti-immigration protesters got super nasty with a hotel that's housing these folks. The BBC showed clips of them breaking windows, storming the Holiday Inn Express, and even pushing a flaming trash bin inside. It's nuts!
And it didn't stop there. In Middlesbrough, the situation went bananas with a bunch of protesters fighting the cops. They were chucking bricks, cans, and pots at the police, and someone set a car on fire. Crazy stuff!
So far, the cops have nabbed about 147 people across the country, with 90 of those happening on Saturday. The trouble's been popping off at these far-right gatherings in places like Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Blackpool, Hull, and Belfast.
The UK's big boss, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, is not happy about it. He basically told those protesters they're going to regret their actions. Everyone's on high alert now, waiting to see what happens next.
Make sure to keep checking back for more updates on this wild situation.
