Employer Nabbed for Indian Farm Worker's Sad Story in Italy
Rome The cops in Italy threw the book at some dude who owns a farm company after he supposedly left a 31-year-old Indian worker high and dry when the poor guy got into a real bad accident. This whole thing has everyone, including the big wigs, pretty shook up.

This worker, Satnam Singh, had his arm chopped off by some strawberry packing machine in Lazio, which is just outside Rome. The news reports say he bled like crazy and didn't get the help he needed right away.
So, they finally found Satnam, who was a Sikh guy just trying to make a living with temporary farm work, and they rushed him to a hospital in Rome by helicopter. But, sadly, two days later, he didn't make it because of his injuries.
The police picked up a fella named Antonello Lovato, who's supposedly the big boss of the farm operation, on Tuesday. They're saying he might've played a part in Satnam's death because he didn't get him help quick enough.

Gurmukh Singh, the big man of the Indian community in Lazio, said everyone's been waiting for someone to get caught and they're pretty steamed about it. They're all hurting and want to make sure this doesn't happen again.
This whole mess has got everyone talking about how migrant workers are treated in Italy, and the government's getting the heat to sort it out so we don't see another sad story like this.
