Kenya Protesters Yell 'Ruto's Gotta Go!' As Cops Use Tear Gas, Stones Fly, and Stuff Goes Up in Flames

**Kenya Protesters Yell 'Ruto's Gotta Go!' As Cops Use Tear Gas, Stones Fly, and Stuff Goes Up in Flames**

Looks like President William Ruto couldn't calm down this bunch of young folks who are pretty mad, even after he said 'no' to those tax hikes that started all the trouble last week.

On Tuesday, things got hectic in Nairobi and all over Kenya, with the cops throwing tear gas and chasing after protesters throwing stones. It's like the biggest mess we've seen since a whole bunch of people sadly lost their lives in the clashes that happened a week ago.

Chaos in the City

The day started with everyone feeling pretty upbeat at the protests, but things turned sour quick. In the middle of Nairobi's busy streets, the cops in riot gear went after the protesters, and tear gas was flying everywhere. Someone even lit a little shop on fire.

A kid ended up on the ground with a busted hand, all bloody, and doctors had to come help him out. The cops weren't playing around either, throwing more kids into the back of a truck.

The Whole Country's Going Nuts

It wasn't just Nairobi that was feeling the heat. Down in Mombasa, the second biggest city on the coast, people were out in the hundreds with palm branches, blowing on plastic horns, and banging drums, all shouting for Ruto to step down.

Everywhere you looked, people were either marching peacefully or getting into it with the cops. This isn't just about taxes anymore, it's about a whole lot of other stuff that's been bothering folks.

Why Everyone's So Mad

The main reason everyone's upset is because they thought Ruto was gonna make life harder by raising taxes, which is a big no-no when so many people are already out of work. Plus, a lot of folks think the government's been pocketing money they shouldn't be, and that's not cool.

Young Kenyans are super unhappy with the job market and how things are going in the country. They're tired of being ignored and want some big changes.

The Government's Not Winning Friends

The way the government's handling this situation isn't winning them any awards. People are not happy about the tear gas, the beatings, and all the arrests. It's like they're making things worse instead of better.

Some folks are saying the government should sit down and talk to these protesters instead of just pushing them around. Maybe if they listen to what the young people have to say, things could calm down.

 What's Next for Kenya?

This whole mess is a wake-up call for the government. They need to start fixing the big problems that are making everyone so upset. If they don't, things could get really bad.

The rest of the world is keeping a close eye on Kenya because if it goes sideways, it's gonna affect the whole region. So, they've gotta figure out how to keep everyone happy and keep the peace.

These protests are showing that the young people in Kenya have had enough and won't be ignored anymore. The government's gotta get their act together and do something about the mess we're in. If they don't, who knows what'll happen next.
