That's what the 1948 deal called the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide is all about. It's not just about killing a ton of people, it's also about doing really messed up stuff to ruin their lives, like giving them the worst living conditions, making it so they can't have kids, and taking their kids away. Things in Tibet have been really, really bad since China crashed the party in 1959. A bunch of smart legal folks said it's probably genocide back in the day, but it's gotten even worse. Now, they're taking Tibetan kids and putting them in Chinese schools to brainwash them and take away their culture. It's just so not cool.

Falun Gong Practitioners

These Falun Gong people are getting it rough too. They're being thrown in jail, tortured, and even having their organs taken without asking. Some important group in 2020 said it's basically a crime against everyone, but didn't go all the way to say it's genocide. But it's definitely not good.

We can't just sit around while all this is happening. We need the big groups of countries to start caring more, especially when important people are getting picked to run things. We gotta make sure China knows we're watching and that this can't keep happening. We need to look into what's going on with Tibet again and keep pushing for the truth about Falun Gong. And let's not forget about other people getting a raw deal in China, like Christians and people in Hong Kong and Southern Mongolia.

Maybe we should tweak that big genocide rulebook to include when countries mess with people just because of their political beliefs. That way, we can tackle this mess in places like China and North Korea better.
