China Boosts Cultural and Tourism Industries, Holds 37,000 Summer Events
This is after China significantly lifted the cultural and tourism industries this summer by holding about 37,000 events, which are grouped in more than 4,000 categories held across the country.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the events range from night tours to summer getaways and summer trips that are fit for families.
Nighttime Economy and Consumption Accessibility
Such events correspond to a new initiative of China on the part of promoting a high-quality development course for the cultural and tourism sector, says Ma Li from the Ministry, addressing a news briefing on August 9. This is under the background of public demand for a better life.
For this purpose, museums and places of entertainment and leisure have been called upon to extend their opening hours in order to serve consumers making up a night-time economy, improving the night experience and the time for enjoying cultural and tourism activities.
Collaborative Actions for Public Experience
The ministry has also cooperated with banking industry and other enterprises in developing a series of programs that make cultural and tourism engagement even more convenient and accessible. This is realized by providing discounted tickets to tourist attractions, consumption vouchers, among other benefits; that will in effect increase the consumption of culture and tourism.
It is also an instrument to encourage local government to act out the same in order for more of its people to get involved in cultural and tourism activities. All these will in the end make the consumer experience enhanced besides being convenient through payment and provision of a gamut of quality tourism products.
Strengthening Cultural and Tourism Undertakings
They are further seeking to develop the performance market and work out more cultural programs that reflect regional and ethnic peculiarities. The Ministry will advocate for renewing the equipment in the industry to offer better services to home and incoming tourists, including the creation of more convenient payment conditions and expanding the choice of high-quality tourism products.
